In Person Guitar Lessons
Getting back to normal with in person guitar lessons
Concerts are coming back. People are waking up. It’s time to get back to life as normal. That means, getting your guitar lessons in person is the best way to get your mojo back and get into the groove again! Taking lessons online was the perfect answer to continuing your guitar playing goal with an instructor. Now it’s time to get back into the guitar studio and see your teacher face to face!
The David Joel Guitar Studio started offering classes online when the pandemic hit. It was a way for David Joel to stay in touch with his students and encourage them to continue their guitar goals without stopping or skipping a beat. While David still offers online lessons, he has opened his studio doors and is taking lessons in person on a one-on-one basis once again.
We are starting to see musicians get back on the road and perform in intimate settings (and not so intimate ones like the Foo Fighters hitting a capacity Madison Square Garden not so long ago). They are ready to play again in a live setting and we are willing to see it! The same goes for those of us trying to learn and master an instrument. The best way to succeed is to get it done in person!
Taking guitar lessons one-on-one with a skilled instructor is the best way to learn guitar. It gives you the edge because you are learning with your skill set and goals in mind, not anyone else’s. One-on-one lessons allow you to focus on the kind of music you want to be playing, not what the general population wants. When you aren’t learning something that is truly in your heart, it is going to be a challenge to understand it.
Of course, if you can’t get to the studio, you should continue taking lessons online. It is the second best way to learn without interrupting your music goals. The key is to keep going. Don’t stop learning, even for a little while. Getting back into it is difficult after taking an extended amount of time off but it can also erase from your mind what you had worked so hard to achieve. The only way to remember how to play is to keep doing it, practice and learn.
David Joel wants his students to grow and progress on the guitar. He takes his teaching very seriously and your achievements are also his. Continue your lessons no matter what it takes. He wants you to succeed. Every student not only learns guitar with David Joel, but they also learn perseverance and commitment. These are qualities you take with you in every aspect of life, not just guitar.
