Musicality
Anyone can learn to play the guitar but there should also be a level of talent that comes with guitar playing. You have to have an understanding of music theory in order to play the guitar well. Having an ear for music is important and sometimes this cannot be taught. Your teacher can determine right away if you are going to be a good player so trust their advice and keep going.
